The mother of a 6-year-old got too high to drive after she smoked “that stinky stuff” and asked her daughter to take the wheel.
The 30-year-old mother was arrested on Sunday after police noticed the child driving a Dodge Durango at South Fourth Avenue and Walnut Street.
“There were two white knuckles and a little head popping over the steering wheel,” he said.
Allegedly the woman was laughing in the passenger seat when the police pulled the car over. She went on to tell the officer she was trying to teach her daughter how to drive.
“Mom made me drive because she was sleepy,” the girl told police.
The police said the aunt asked the little girl if her mom had been smoking “that stinky stuff again” and she replied “yes.”
The woman is being held in Chester County Prison on child endangerment, corruption of a minor and reckless endangerment charges.
