Bun B To Host Food Bank For Charity
As the Holiday season gears into full swing various artists are donating their time to help those less fortunate. DJ Drama recently made headlines for his charitable endeavors with Atlanta's Hosea Williams Feed The Hungry program while Cash Money CEOs Birdman and Slim will be hosting their 13th annual turkey giveaway for the occasion.
Following in Hip-Hop's philanthropic footsteps is none other than UGK's Bun B who is stepping in to host a food drive to feed the hungry.
Bun is teaming up with Boost mobile to collect food for the Houston food bank. The phone company will also donate $5,000 to a charity he specially selected, Bethel's place community and outreach center.
Local Houston radio station KBXX 97.9 ‘The Box' will be onsite broadcasting live and giving people who donate five or more canned goods free tickets to see Bun B in concert later that night at Hush nightclub.
Bun B's food drive takes place Wednesday November 25 at the Boost Mobile in Westhill Village.
Good to see Bun giving back to the community and keeping that UGK legacy going.
