Tea Baggers Want To Force Christmas Songs In Public School

As if the country has not had enough of everyone residing on the lunatic fringe right, the Tea Party initiative is now focusing their collective anger against a new enemy, public schools.

Several Tea Party members are upset that Christmas Carols are not being sung in public schools anymore, and in true lunatic fashion, they are looking to the government for assistance.

Under the “Freedom to Present Christmas Music in Public School Classrooms or Assemblies” initiative. The move would require schools to play traditional Christmas carols for students with the penalty for not doing so being legal action.

Most public schools currently allow the playing of Christmas music as long as it is not religiously based and is not used to promote one religious belief over another.

That would allow Jingle Bells to be sung but not Noel.

There is no word on whether the initiative is actually being taken seriously.
