White House Party Crashers To Be Subpoenaed
Congress has agreed to issue subpoenas to Tareq and Michaele Salahi, the couple that so boldly crashed the White House state dinner in November. Through the subpoenas the pair will be forced to testify about how they gained access to the event without an invitation.
The couple is threatening to use their Fifth Amendment rights to avoid answering questions.
White House social secretary Desiree Rogers will not be subpoenaed over the incident.
As previously reported, the couple took to the Today Show to proclaim their innocence. According to them, the entire incident is just a big misunderstanding.
