Queen Latifah and Mary J. Blige are set to be commemorated by leading Black publication, Essence Magazine. The publication will honor the pioneers in music along with actresses Zoe Saldana and Gabourey Sidibe during their third annual 'ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon'.
The luncheon takes place March 4, 2010 at the Beverly Hills Hotel and will highlight their various accolades while in the spotlight.
The Queen will be honored with the magazine's ‘Power Award' for her role as an entertainment conglomerate with her roles in television, film and music.
Mary J. will be honored with the ‘Songstress of the Year' award for her position as a music mogul and philanthropy through her FFAWN Foundation.
Zoe Zaldana will receive the ‘Star To Watch Award' while Gabourey Sidibe will take home ‘Best Breakthough Performance for her role in Precious.
