Johnny Jolly, an NFL player from Houston for the Green Bay Packers, has been charged with illegal possession of codeine.  Police claim to have found him with over 200 grams of the substance in 2008 outside of a local night club.

He was arrested after cops approached his vehicle in a parking lot for having excessively loud music.

According to police, when he rolled down the window they smelled “the strong odor of codeine” in cups of the vehicle.

If convicted the defensive end could receive up to 20 years in jail.

He maintains his innocence.
