Man Charged in Slaying of Five Family Members

A Texas man has been charged in the shooting deaths of five of his family members.

20-year-old Maron Thomas is being held on $2 million bond for killing his mother, stepfather, sister, brother and niece who was also found decapitated.

Police found the five bodies at the family's home in Bellville, Texas Sunday afternoon.

A neighbor helped detain Thomas after they found him naked and trying to break into their home by holding him at gunpoint until police arrived.

According to autopsy results, all five died of gunshot wounds and the two-year-old girl was decapitated with a machete.

Her head was found near her body.

Police found a shotgun and handgun at the crime scene and say both were used in the shootings.

He was taken to the county jail where officers report that he confessed to the murders.

A capital murder charge has been filed against him.

There are some sick, sick, people in this world.

So sad.

    I say no death penalty. Make him live out the rest of his life knowing & thinking about what he did to his family! That will be more tortue.

    People do the damnest things but some people just take it overboard he needs to be put under the jail
