Racist Fliers Comparing Chicago Candidate To Aunt Jemima Surface
Racist fliers are surfacing in Chicago comparing Toni Preckwinkle a Black candidate for the county board to Aunt Jemima.
The fliers, which have been designed to look like parking tickets show a picture of Preckwinkle with a caption that reads,
“Aunt Jemima On The Meter Box.”
The racist fliers have been distributed throughout the city and are believed to claim that the alderwoman voted in support of a new parking meter agreement with the city of Chicago and LAZ meter company.
She maintains that she did not.
