Barack Obama's Aunt Fights To Stay In The U.S.
A federal immigration judge has the fate of Barack Obama's aunt Zeituni Onyangoin in their hands.
Onyangoin testified in a court room this morning on her own behalf in her second political asylum hearing asking her to be allowed to stay in the country.
A federal judge will decide if the 57-year-old woman can remain in the U.S. or if she should be forced to move back to her native country of Kenya.
The half sister of Obama's father filed for political asylum the first time in 2002 due to growing tensions in Kenya.
Her request was denied and she was ordered to leave in 2004.
Onyangoin has been living in the U.S. illegally ever since.
Her political asylum case this time is said to be based on medical reasons.
