A Texas mother is facing federal charges after police say she robbed a bank with her 4-month-old baby in the backseat.
23-year-old Inequa Rushing entered a bank in Dallas on January 19 while her boyfriend 32-year-old Waylon McDonald acted as a lookout.
When she approached a teller and demanded money, the bank employee handed her a bag of cash with an exploding dye pack inside, commonly used to foil bank robberies.
While trying to escape in the get-away car, the dye exploded coating the money and the woman’s purse which she threw out the window.
Police later found the dyed money along with her purse and identification leading them right to her.
Police also say that the woman’s 4-month-old, who is a premature baby on oxygen, was in the backseat.
The fumes from the exploding dye did not harm the infant.
