Man Accused of Waterboarding 4-Year-Old Daughter
A Washington man is accused of holding his 4-year-old daughter's head upside-down underwater in a mock waterboarding because she did not want to recite the alphabet.
27-year-old Joshua Ryan Tabor, a former soldier, told police officers that he and his girlfriend held the girl under the water face up until water “came up around her forehead and jawline.”
He says he was angry that the little girl “would not say her letters” and did not see anything wrong with using the torture tactic.
The girlfriend, who called the police on Tabor saying that he was in a drunken rage, told officers that when the child wets herself, he “makes her sit in the urine-soaked clothes” until he gives her permission to change.
He is facing second-degree child assault charges.
