Major Lazer, the reggae group that consists of DJ Diplo and DJ Switch, was faced with tragedy this weekend after a recent concert in Atlanta.

The two performed Sunday night at Atlanta’s Masquerade event hall when shots rang out outside the venue around 11 p.m .

Those inside the concert were unaware of the incident but police report that a man, 26-year-old Matthew Cole of White County, Georgia was killed outside.

An unnamed suspect was arrested on the scene.

WSB Radio reports that Cole was killed over a vehicle blocking the street.

After hearing about the incident Diplo tweeted about what happened saying,

“Atlanta wuz stupid … So stupid CSI is out front investigating a murder in the alley!! Tooo krunk!! @majorlazer smh.”

Also performing at last night’s concert were local bands Rusko, Sleigh Bells and Hollyweerd.

Lazer’s latest album Guns Don’t Kill People, Lazers Do is set to hit stores in Europe on June 29.
