A Tennessee man that plotted to kill then-Sen. Barack Obama and dozens of other Black people in 2008 pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy, threatening a presidential candidate and federal firearms Monday.

21-year-old Daniel Cowart now faces 12 to 18 years for the crime .

As previously reported, his partner in the would-be killing spree 19-year-old Paul Schlesselman, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy, one count of threatening to kill and harm a presidential candidate and one count of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.

He faces up to 10 years in prison.

Cowart and Schlesslman are described by police as white supremacists who planned to kill various of Black leaders before ending their spree by killing the then Senator.
