WTF: Georgia Congressman Thinks Overpopulation Will Make Guam Sink [Video]

Georgia Congressman Hank Johnson is coming under fire after the statements he made about the island of Guam.

Last week during a hearing with the House Armed Services Committee, Congressman Johnson attempted to explain his perspective about concern for the stability of the island of Guam if 8,000 new marines and other naval personnel were to be stationed there.

During his explanation to the committee, he characterized Guam as a tiny, fragile U.S. territory that would not be able to withstand the added weight by the increase in population.

Congressman Hank then went on to explain his fear that with added weight, Guam would be susceptible to tipping over caused by overpopulation and other environmental factors.

"My fear that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize," the Georgia Democrat said, making a tipping motion with his hands.

Johnson later clarified his initial statement, calling it a metaphorical reference to a ship capsizing, which he said illustrated his concern about the impact of military buildup on the small tropical island.

SMH, looking at the video I see no “metaphorical” speaking, instead I see someone who is faking it to make it through.  But enough of what we think, let us know what you think!
