Jay-Z & Russell Simmons To Support "Stop The Violence" Rally After 7-Year Old Gang Raped
Jay-Z and Russell Simmons are teaming up to support a rally in New Jersey in hopes to stop violence.
The “Stop the Violence” rally, which is scheduled to take place this weekend, is a reaction to the shocking news about the seven-year-old, who was assaulted by seven men, ranging in age from 13 to 20 years-old on March 28 after being sold to the men by her 15-year old sister.

In addition to Jay-Z and Russell Simmons, rappers Ludacris, Chuck D. and Trenton's own Wise Intelligent of the Poor Righteous Teachers will deliver taped messages to attendees.
As previously reported, police have arrested five men believed to be involved with the crime and they are still looking for two more rapists, who allegedly also forcibly penetrated the young girl.
The “Stop the Violence” rally is scheduled to take place on Saturday (April 10th) at 7:00 PM at The Lighthouse Outreach ministry. The rally is free and open to the public tickets are available at the Lighthouse Outreach Ministry in Trenton.
According to published reports, the 15-year-old's grandmother has stated that the family is now receiving death threats from local gangs. Prosecutors believe that all involved will be likely tried as adults.

That's more than a little ironic since Simmons and Jay-Z are key players in a sub-culture that normalized this sort of behavior within the Black community.
You're a cretin and I'll tell you why.
From the looks of your avatar your probably into death metal or the emo scene which is dandy.
DO NOT try to formulate an opinion regarding music you know nothing about. If you knew anything about rap you would know Jay-Z and Russell Simmons are 2 of the tamest hip-hop stars when talking about violence towards women.
Russell Simmons regularly talks against it.
Just because you know words to the chronic doesn't mean you know anything about rap.
You tell me *any* type of music that “normalizes” men (and I use the term men loosely) raping children.
What makes me so sick about this is all the comments I've read blaming Obama, black people, the parents and no one wants to blame the sick pedophiles who raped this little baby.
This is a horrific crime and you think this is normal behavior in the black community? It's mind boggling people still think about black people like this. Thank you for giving me a glimpse of what the presupposed mind looks like . I live in very liberal NYC and I guess sometimes I need to be reminded blockheads like you still exist.
Rap has nothing to do with the problem in the urban black community.
Involved parenting practices (or lack thereof) maybe, but not rap.
Well put VickyNicks
Very well put....thanks!
