Police have a Rialto, California woman in custody after they say she shot and killed her sister-in-law and drove around for hours with the body slumped in the passenger seat.
Lt. Joe Cyril tells the Associated Press that they found 48-year-old Sandra Kotz armed and sitting on a curb near the car Sunday.
When they approached the woman, Cyril says she pointed to the vehicle where they found the lifeless body of 58-year-old Ellen Ann Bayless.
The AP reports that police were tipped off to look for Kotz after her sister told them she called and confessed to killing the woman and was driving around with her body.
Bayless, was trying to reportedly help her estranged sister-in law who had been living on the street.
