An Ohio father is being reveled as a hero today after police say he saved his daughter from being abducted.

Demetrius Skipper rescued his 9-year-old daughter Demetra after a group of children told him that she’d been lured into a nearby home by 36-year-old Torrince Garner.

Garner reportedly offered the little girl $5 to come inside which she accepted before her father rushed to her rescue.

Skippers tells WKYC that Garner tried to lie about having the child but the brave father trusted his instincts and found her.

“I snatched the door open, I asked him and he said no but the look on his face…I just knew something wasn’t right. So I grabbed him, started throwing him around the house and started calling my daughter’s name. She came running out the house, she couldn’t been there more than a minute…She told me he told her to go in the basement and don’t say nothing.“

When the father got a hold of Garner he reportedly slammed his head into a wall and held him captive until police arrived.

Garner is said to have over 100 charges already on his criminal record and is now facing charges of kidnapping and child enticement.

The home where the child was taken is a halfway house for men recently released from prison.
