Kellogg's Recalls 28 Million Boxes Of Cereal That Could Make People Sick
Kellogg Co. is voluntarily recalling about 28 million boxes of Apple Jacks, Corn Pops, Froot Loops and Honey Smacks cereals.
Kellogg is saying that a “waxy” smell and flavor is coming from the package liners that could make people sick.
J. Adaire Putnam, Kellogg's spokes woman, said about 20 people complained about the smell including five who reported nausea and vomiting.
Putnam says that the potential for serious health problems is low
She added that the lining in the cereals' boxes produced the smell and flavor.
Kellogg still has not identified the substance in the liner that is causing the problem.
The products that they are recalling were distributed throughout the U.S. and have been on the market since late March.

im so tired of all these recalls. it seems like the past 2 or 3 yrs, we have had at least 30 food recalls, n also there has been lots of recalls for baby stuff. wtf??
I can't belive ppl still eat this sh*t.
This is similar to the Tylenol situation same complaints and symptoms...Hmmmm! What do they have in common? Damn Shame!
Cereal is me and my boyfriends favorite, i'll have to tell him about this..glad i view my news while on vacation. 28 million boxes recalled at $2.99 per box thats some serious bread lost on their end, but better than having 28 million law suits. Damn stuff like this makes you want to do your own planting, peeling and cooking...we prrobably would be better off if we did.
whole natural foods are the way to go, the more chems in them the more of a risk you take, as well as the more people handle our food too. Growing veggies, nuts and fruits does'nt seem like such a bad idea. Certainly going to look into this asap because i`m scared to eat anything with all these recalls over the last few years.
