Ne-Yo Weighs In On Chris Brown, Tells Haters to “Move On” [Video]

R&B crooner Ne-Yo has decided to discuss his opinion on the Chris Brown and Rihanna saga and feels that it is time for everyone to move on.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Ne-Yo stated that although the incident was “terrible,” people should let the pop singer move forward with his career.

“Chris Brown is a talented guy,” Ne-Yo said. “He is an incredible performer and no one can take that away from him. I think that for some reason it is taking the world too long to forgive this guy”

Ne-Yo also revealed that he grew up in a home where domestic violence occurred daily and still harbors no resentment toward the singer.

“I know what that world is,” Ne-Yo said. “I grew up in a house where my mom was abused all the time. I know how terrible it is, but I also know that forgiveness is divine and we really need to forgive him and move on.”

Exactly...move on...they have...I don't know why the "world" is so obsessed with this story anyway....There are millions of real women who are in real abuse situations who derseve the support and opportunities to get it together and move on with their lives....Rhianna is just fine....

Man, to hell with Chris Brown's punk *****! Talented or not, he left an unconscious woman on the side of the road and didn't know if she was alive or dead when he did. That was bad in and of itself, but this fool bit her too! What man needs to bite a female? is he that much of a punk that he can't defend himself any other way? and from the arrest photos, it didn't look as though he had a damn scratch on him! Now I don't know if Ne-Yo really dealt with a situation where he was involved in domestic violence or not, but I have! My own family was hurt by someone pretending to be a man and decided to attack her while she was pregnant with his child because she found out that he was being unfaithful to her and decided to confront him about it and after leaving him and going back to him a few times, I finally realized that she wasn't going to attempt to get any help for the way he behaved or her poor choice in going back to him. The sad part is that she died just last year, and all of that could have been avoided as a result of her leaving and choosing to STAY GONE, and the law prosecuting his punk ***** to the extent where he wouldn't be out to do it again. I don't care what anyone says...Once an abuser/woman beater, always an abuser/ woman beater!!! He gets NO LOVE from me. NOT NOW, NOT EVER....SORRY, Ne-Yo. I like your music, but not to the point where I'd budge on giving this fool a p***** on this...

You do realize that you can go on as many websites and talk all the shyt you want to about this young man and waste the rest of your (what seems to be) extremley miserable life attempting to keep a "virtual" foot on this guy's neck but it is still not going to keep him from prospering and moving on with his life? I mean, I see you commenting on Bossip all the time and I'm like "is this guy serious?" You need to get a grip because you are starting to come off as obsessed and silly.....you go on and on about how Chris Brown is a punk for doing what he did but by sitting online posting negative comments about him all the time.....what does that make you? Ask yourself.....

I'm with you as well. People that want to get into the music business should think about that before they strike. I know the girl probably did some things to prevoke, but that's when you really walk away. And you know I find that hurts more than when you stay. Chris is a big phoney! I enjoyed the dance he did on BET awards, but when he started acting madde the vomiting motions & turned the channel until he was done. "NO LOVE FROM ME!" And I hope he has to get a degree like the rest of us. He had his shot!

Obviously this knucklehead has no life, continuing to put down Chris. Chris has apologized so many times, in reality what happened to him has happened to anyone at any given time in life, so let's move on. Who in the world can honestly say they never had their ***** whooped before? I forgave him right after I heard this mess because we really don't know what happened, but some people don't move on we like to hold on to mess so it makes up feel like we're really about something. Well no, not really these stars are just people too, have their lives and don't need haters or low-lifes constantly putting them down. Chris is a gifted and talented young man who has a great deal to conribute to the industry, he will always have his fan base and people that genuinely love his music and talent, It's way past time to get away from all this negatively because hating on him, says a lot about youself. LOVE YOU FOREVER, CHRIS!!!!!

TYPOS* A$$, PA$$...

YEA NE-YO
I AGREE WITH YOU 100%. THE PEOPLE WHO ARE BLAA,BLAA,BLAA ON THIS SITE NEED TO LOOK IN THE MIRROR, AND ZIP THEIR PIE HOLE UP .PULEASE

THANX NE-YO. THEY ACT LIKE CHRIS BROWN MURDERED SOMEONE. O J DIDN'T GET THIS MUCH FLACK. CHRIS BROWN DIDNT INVENT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. LOOK HOW MANY HOLLIWOOD ABUSERS THAT CAME OUT AFTER HIS. THEY TALKED ABOUT THEM FOR 2 SECONDS. THE SHAMWOO COMMERCIAL GUY BEAT THAT PROSITUTE MUCH WORSE THAN CHRIS DID RIRI. I GUESS CAUSE SHE A STREET GIRL IT DOESNT MATTER. WELL IT SHOULD, CAUSE IF YOU HIPERCRITES SAY NO MAN SHOULD EVER HIT A WOMAN, THEN SHE SHOULD COUNT TOO. NOT TO MENTION CHARLIE SHEEN PUTTING A KNIFE TO HIS WIFES THROAT. BUT THATS ALRIGHT HE'S KNOWN TO BE A BAD BOY.

Exactly gud Neyo...I dont understanf why its tkin so long either like a bunch of hollywood men did it and we didn give a ***** but now since a lightskinned broth did it ppl wanna take notice like DAMN wat he did waz wrong but u kno he didn jus sit up and start punchin her, their had to feul to tha fire..and we dont even kno anythang and we make mistakes too but its not on every tv in da world..WHO ARE WE TO JUDGE??..Hell ya its tym to forgive

dats true we all need 2 move on from dis chris brown rihanna incidence afterall r kelly took a leak on a underage girl & d world acts lyk it neva happend d dude even performed in d world cup in south africa a country known 2 hav 1 of d highest rate of child molestation

Everyone does need to move on its not that serious to hold a grudge on chris that was then this is now it makes no sense to live in the past

It's not that serious. I guess if that was your sister or your mother getting their ***** beat you wouldn't make that statement. I swear stupidity must be such a burden for some of you fools!

Neyo is the only one thinking straight.

im glad that his not affraid to express wat he feels. & his completly right, Chris needs to be forgiven (:

To the person who said that Chris left an unconscious woman on the side of the road, go back and look at her 20/20 interview and youwill see that SHE said that she was NEVER unconscious. Also you get bit on the finger when you trying to hit somebody in the mouth. So think what you want, both of them was in that car fighting each other. We do need to move the hell on because it's over with and *****ody cares but people who have been through a REAL domestic violence situation. No two situations are the same and you can't get back at the person that hurt you or your family by hating on Chris. Let that ish go and move on. If you choose not to forgive him that is between you and God, but don't try to stop Chris from moving on with his life.

Tell that to the guy who may whoop your unborn child one day. Forgiveness will come when someone is trully sorry for their actions. Not sure he is there yet.

I think that those who comment tend to do so out of their own perspective and I can accept that but it makes me wonder. Some say he needs to show more remorse, but I wonder how you can do that. We weren't there and we don't know what he feels now. We can only *****ume and *****uming can make you an *****.

If this was a criminal are we saying they should NEVER get a second chance?

Everyone has moved on... moved on to other artistes.

Forgiveness (and a reality check) does more for the forgiver (the one doing the forgiving) than the person who needs to be forgived. Love is a choice. Hate is poison, mostly to the one who hates.

Quit the personifying and look at your own demons you live with day to day, as opposed to what Chris did nearly two years ago. It's easier to bash Chris than to fix your own pathetic self.

Matter of fact, Rihanna has moved on, so why you still cryin over this boo???!! It's an ego thing on your part and you think you really matter, when in reality, you don't.

NeYo was 100% correct in his *****essment of the situation. Why do people to hate so much for so long? I mean, where is the love?

Remember, forgiveness is for the forgiver. If you can't forgive, then you gets NO love . . . from yourself or anyone else . . .

The only person who should harbor any type of resentment towards Chris Brown is Rihanna. She's moved on with her life and I'm sure she's receiving the support she needs to heal. Everyone else who continues to harbor animosity towards Chris needs to wake up and realize that it is not your place to judge him! If you truly care about women in domestic violence situations then volunteer at your local domestic violence shelter. Do something to help your community because posting misspelled and grammatically incorrect posts on an urban blog website will do nothing to remedy the amount of domestic violence that takes place in this country daily.

No sin is greater than the other. People love to have an opinion about what others are doing, as if they live a holy life and have never made any mistakes. God is the only one he should seek for forgiveness. As long as he apologizes to Rihanna, all the important women in his life, his fans, and he tries to better himself as a man and a person then he is OK. I don't matter, you don't matter. Let the man live.

i soooooooooo agree wit neyo its time 2 move on every1 makes mistakes an deserve a second chance so get over it ppl!!!!

i wonder if all you artist what ever you want to call yourselves theses days .i wonder would you say the samethng neyo if it was yor sister

Rihanna got what she deserved! I really don't believe he beat her down all like that, she just want people to feel sorry for her and I don't. I don't believe in men hitting on women, but at the same time, a woman should never act like a man and jump in his face. That lil twit seems like a crazy nut and I'm certain that she started it. She just wanted to boost her image, that I'm so tired of seeing, and thats exactly what happened. She wanted the world to feel sorry for her so she can get some sales for that wack ***** music she makes, so I say, the hell with her no-talent *****!

I agree with Neyo!!!

Chris has learned from this. I think people should move on, Chris's music is great... I hope his next CD will not be full of sorrow and love gone wrong, that guy that RiRi is messing with, will find out soon enough. Just wait what goes around comes back around.. Chris keep your head to the sky and remember you don't need white folks Pop to keep you going, plus you know how to write and produce music, this is were the real money is......

I am in England, and I think people do need to forgive Chris Brown, aparently he cannot even get into the UK, but the likes of a covicted rapist and ear biter Tyson can? where is the justice.

What about Martin Sheen, didn't he beat his wife up, and get convicted yet he has not got half the stick Chris Brown has got.

Yes, Chris needs to work four time as hard as the next man to prove himself, but there are some in the entertainment world that make so much money out of implying they mistreat women, pimp, sell drugs and even possibly have commited murder, especially when they have that tear drop tattoo on their eyes.

I think we need some perspective here, what Chris done was terribly, somewhat deserves his treatment, but we do need to chill out a bit!

Chris Brown is awesome...y'all really need to move on...***** happens...people jus have to grow up and deal with it...come on...everybody has done something and needed forgiveness...and somebody gave it to u...so...all Chris wants is to get his life back...those Rihanna supporters had her album hittin charts wit only 2 good singles...Chris had an album full of hits and people wouldn't buy it!!! I love Chris Brown and will always be a part of #TEAMBREEZY!!! Grow up...Move on...Forgive but never forget!!!

Sure we can forgive him however fame and fortune are not Chris Browns birth rite he doesn't have to them or even deserve them more then the next person .....people look to entertainers to escape a reality and if listening to his music makes u think of something horrible or even uncomfortable you have a right not to buy it or listen to it or not think he is hot. All these people who want to forgive fine thats great but dont tell others to just pop in another mp3 thats like i tell you pop in OJ's football highlights tape and not think about what u have heard and read or murders. Fame is a privilege it not needed to live

OOH FERMER TOUSES VOS GEULES ET D'ALLEURE VOUS VOUS PRENER POUR QUI POUR LE JUGER COMME SA. CHRIS A FAIT UNE ERREURE ET LE REGRETTE SINCEREMENT ALORS ARRETTER AVEC VOS SALES COMENTAIRE OK C L'UN DES ARTISTES LES PLUS TALENTUEUX DE SA GENERATION ET LE JOUR OU VOUS AURAIT 1/4 DE SONT TALENT ON POURA EN REPARLER MAIS EN ATTENDANT FERMER LA . JE SUIS FAN DE CHRIS BROWN ET JE LE RESTERAIT TOUJOURS CHRIS BROWN THE BEST I LOVE YOU

Beat her Down Brown will carry this with him forever, but IMO he has shown no real remorse. He just says what he think everyone wants to hear so he can get on with his career. He's still immature and has a lot to learn about life. He's a convicted felon & will be walking a fine line with the law for awhile. Maybe during that time he will get his act together.

Just don't hit The B*t*h N the face, next time Chris!
