Washington D.C. To Offer Lower Priced Medical Marijuana For The Poor
Washington D.C. is making a pivotal move and adding a provision to its medical marijuana law allowing the drug to be sold at a lower price to the poor.
As previously reported the nation's capital made a pivotal move in May by passing a unanimous decision to legalize the drug for medicinal purposes.
Now with the new law set to be enforced in 2011, the new medical marijuana act will require the substance to be available to all patients regardless of socioeconomic status.
D.C. is the only location with legalized marijuana that allows lower pricing for the poor and reportedly has the highest percentage of marijuana use in the country.
