of the recently departed Lorenzen Wright, has told police that he was carrying money and a box of drugs the night he disappeared.
As previously reported, Wright’s body was found July 28 in woods outside Memphis. The 34-year-old had been missing for 10 days. No arrests have been made in the homicide and Memphis police are not saying whether or not they have a motive in the investigation. However, Lorenzen Wrights ex-wife may have some details to help the investigation.
Sherra Wright said Lorenzen left her home at 10:30 p.m. on July 18 with the drugs, returned momentarily, and then left again with an unknown amount of money. Sherra also stated that she overheard her ex-husband on the telephone telling someone that he was going to “flip something for $110,000.”
Lorenzen left her home in a car with a person she said she could not identify. It was after they left, hours later police dispatchers received a 911 call from Wright’s cell phone. Police say they heard gunshot like noises before the call was dropped which makes foul play expected.
