Charles Barkley Calls Lebron James' Off Season Actions “Punk Moves”

Outspoken NBA analyst Charles Barkley has been very vocal about Lebron James' off season actions.

Now the Hall of Famer is calling LBJ's recent antics, ‘punk moves.'

James recently tweeted that he was keeping track of “everyone taking shots at me this summer.”

Apparently Barkley took James' characters to heart and in a recent interview with ESPN radio 103.3 Dallas/Fort Worth, Chuck had this to say.

"I want him to make sure that he puts my name on that (list). I thought that his little one-hour special was a punk move. He knows where I'll be. I don't run. I'm on TV every week, I'm easy to find.”


Seemingly eager to pick a fight with the young superstar, Barkley also had negative words for Bosh and James' welcome ceremony in the Miami, calling their dancing during the reception "a punk move" too.

In July, Barkley said he was, “disturbed” by James' 1-hour ESPN decision, and that James would never be put on a pedestal with Michael Jordan for making the move to Miami.

    Smh. *****f*ckas so ridiculous. Leave LeBreezy alone! He made a great decision. Who gives a f*ck about MVP. We're talking the champs here. He was on the cavs for a while, always making it to the playoffs, but never the finals. I'd do the same sh*t if I was in his shoes. F*ck what everyone's talkin' 'bout. He ain't stupid.     I mean Charles is intitled to his opinion about LeBron's one hour special ( a little over the top for me too) and where he decided to go BUT all the extra "punk move" stuff isnt nothing but hating. He and Jordan are best friends and for some reason he feels like he has to bash LeBron every second (dyck riding MJ). Same thing with Jordan. This dude LeBron idolizes him and even changed his jersey number out of respect for Jordan and MJ decides to get at him!? I dont feel like these dudes shouldnt have an opinion I just dont get why their statements have to be so public and harsh. Jordan going into how he never wouldve called up Larry and Magic was irrelevent because the Celtics and the Lakers were already championship teams AND the Bulls did a better job than Cleveland did to set up the pieces around Jordan. Furthermore it only took him 5 years to win a championship, LeBron was in Cleveland for 7 years with only one trip the finals and with a current team (besides Shaq) full of inconsistent followers. I think this move should be praised because the main reason Jordan wouldnt have joined forces with Bird or Magic is because his ego is too big. Even if it meant him winning 10 Championships. LBJ, Wade, and Bosh left $30 mil on the table to seize this once in a life time opportunity to build the best team in NBA history and to forgo MVP awards for trophies! Barkley was overweight in Houston with Hakeem and Drexler if you recall to steal a ring his damn self!! I am a Celtics fan but I will be rooting for Miami when they play anybody other than my team because I GET IT!!

      I agree completely. At the end of the day, this is Lebron's career on the line - his legacy. It would have been great if he could have pulled off the fairy tale ending and won a championship in his home state. But Cleveland didn't give him the tools he need for the job. So he made a move that HE felt was best for him and HIS family. Lebron isn't stupid by any means - hence, the 1-hour special announcement. Lmao. Hell of business move.

      Freedom of speech allows anyone to have an opinion. Lebron wants to compete as little as possible AGAINST these guys, so he'd rather take a small pay cut and ensure his endorsement pipeline stays fat in a tourist market like Miami. Read a lil' mo' into it than what Barkley and MJ are saying, but those guys are correct. A real MVP, a real leader, stands his ground and battles. Lebron is just joining the other glue eaters in the sandbox. His legacy will be nothing more than than Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett <<< couldn't be THE man, so join a a group of strong players to beat the league. I won't remember the Celtics championship year anymore than I'll remember the Kobe/Shaq championship teams. I WILL remember the 2004 Pistons and the Spurs championships, because those were actual team efforts that involved real coaching, not just casting jobs.

    @ shavon denise you don't get it. first of all they are not leaving that much money on the table because miami has great tax breaks. playing there they only lose about 6 million. When u want to be number one and go down as the best you dont get with the heat. if he went to Chicago he could`ve won a title there, maybe multiple. but you cant go to the heat and expect to be looked at or treated the same. it wont be a normal championship.

    Charles did the same when he went to The Rockets to get a ring, after things didn't work out in Phili or Pheonix. MJ is the best, but dissing Lebron over something as petty as leaving Cleveland is ridiculous. The media get paid more in revenue anyway when their disrespect black men, this is how sports radio, talk radio, and even Oprah Winfrey make their billions, what's new.

    this is for shavon MJ won in his 7th year he came in 84
    he won in 91 that's not five years! first three lost in the first round with sweeps. lost in eastern semi's and lost eastern con. finals twice all to detroit. He was the MVP , All star MVP and Defensive player of the year all in 88'. He was the best individual player in the league from when he entered the league. There is no excuse for lebron not to win he had the best record in the NBA last year and best record in the east two years in a row and lost before the finals! The same motivation they have in regular season lebron can't lead them in the same way in the playoff poor leadership!

    There is one thing set in stone here... like him or not, no one can say that Barkely is dishonest... he says what he knows or feels and stand up to it... the young punk kid did was totally runious for basketball... he showed just how selfish he is...and his over the top, hour long "special" was nothing special... it was all about Jame's m*****ive ego and self centeredness... I didn't like him when he came into the league and as time went on, I disliked him ever more... and he didn't prove anything good about leaving a good legacy... heck, he didn't win a championship so he bailed... I call that quitting... and don't give me this..."he has a right to do as he wants"... he quite even BEFORE he quit the team.... he quit on the floor and he quit on those fans that adored him...     Secondly, Michael Jordan is NOT the greastest player ever. He is the most marketed for sure but not the best. He would rank in the top 10 but behind, Kareem, Bill Russell, Wilt, Dr.J, and Magic.
