Mother Kills Her 2 Kids By Dumping Car In River

A mother in South Carolina is facing charges after confessing to police that she killed her two children and drove her car into a river.

According to initial reports, Shaquan Duley flagged down police a half a mile from the Edisto River claiming that she had been in an accident.

When police arrived on the scene, they found 2-yaer-old Devean Duley and 18-month-old Ja'Van Duley dead in the backseat, still strapped into their car seats.

According to police reports, the entire incident “wreaked of foul play”. Officers state that not only was Ms. Duley not wet, but there were no signs of any type of accident on the road way.

In addition to the clear evidence against her story, police also state that they found the car in neutral on the scene.

Although Duley originally told authorities that the children drowned when their car bowled into the river, Sheriff Larry Williams states that the mother later told police what really happened.

According to police, Duley said that she was "distraught" after a dispute she allegedly had with her own mother and decided to kill 18-month-old Ja'Van Duley and 2-year-old Devean Duley by putting her hand over their mouths.

Williams says that at that point, Duley then strapped the children into her car and drove the vehicle into the river.

Duley has been charged with two counts of murder and leaving the scene of an accident, she is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday (August 18).

SMH…she is one sick woman.

    Jesus Please come back if not for the good ppl left, then at least for the children. None of them deserve this. Or maybe u are taking them so they wont have to live in pain. Either way, save them all.

      my thing is if my mom didn't like the way i was raising my kids and always on me i would pack them up and take them to her not kill them. there are better ways to handle situations than killing off our kids who didn't ask to be here in the first place

        No. chances are "the father" is probably 2 different guys (notice I didnt say men, because men take care of their kids). And both are probably on crack somewhere and could care less.
        As for the *****, well she deserves as bad as it can be. She now has plenty of time to hersef (sic). Cept no crack in the big house.

    Our laws are too lenient for this type of brutal murder. Someone needs tie her to a car seat and dump her in the river. There is no excusse...crazy or not. She should DIE!!!!!

    U know things happen 4 a reason & sometimes we jus don't know or understand y. This is so sad. I show no sympathy for ppl who do things like this. But as we all c those babies r in a far better place than the hands of their "mother."

    How many woman are the courts going to put with when they murder their babies? Before these woman decide to spreed their legs for a few moments of pleasure they should take precautions before hand. No child should suffer by the hand of their parent. They never asked to be born. If you can't handle the responsibility keep your dam legs closed.

    This is a sad and tragic incident, but these are not “white folks crimes.” These are crimes against humanity and crimes against children and they are committed by people of all races and from all walks of life. I hope that this woman pays dearly for what she has done by spending many years if not the rest of her life in prison, but I do hope that she gets the help that she needs. Obviously, to commit this horrific act, she couldn't possibly be well.

    People I am sorry but postpartum depression is real and very serious. this in no way excuses this mother from murdering her children and I am very saddened about the suffering of these poor children.
    someone even had the audacity to criticize the people that are against abortion. Really? what is the difference? Killing the poor defenseless baby prior to being born or waiting until after they are living and almost two years old? They are still people with totally different DNA from their mother. the only difference is these poor children were allowed to be born. Murder is murder. And it is horribly sad no matter what.

    2 more angels have gone back to heaven! How can a mother do this to their child or children. I have raised 5 of my own and 4 step children and could never imagine hurting them! As tough as parenting and life in general is now, it does not excuse murdering your children. If its post partum depression, which I believe is a bunch of bull *hit, then why keep having children? Doctors will tell you that there is such a sickness, but I believe it exists only because we know its a defense or better yet an excuse for murderous mothers actions.
    We all go through tough times and may become depressed, however the best thing that cures my depression are my children. I remember one day being very down and feeling alone in the middle of the night. I looked to my side and laying next to me was my at the time 5 year old daughter. I thought of death for me for a brief second and then said to myself, that's just as bad as killing my childrens futures leaving them without a mother. Then suddenly my 5 year old awoke out of nowhere she kisses me on my cheek, normally she kisses me on my lips, hugs me and asked me, "do you know why I did that?" I said "no sweetie, why?" she responds, "God told me to do it". I was stunned! It was about 3am I was contemplating leaving this earth and God sent me a sign through my 5 year old! Children are a blessing and should always be our strenght, instead of our weakness!
