Beyonce's man Roc Nation head Jay-Z is the top earner in Hip-Hop. If you're surprised, you shouldn't be. His Blueprint III tour earned him an estimated $1 million per show.  Additionally Jigga's work as a producer of hit Broadway play Fela!, ties to the New Jersey Nets, Rocawear clothing line and 40/40 night clubs have added to his reported $63 million net worth.

Didn't he tell you he was a business, maaaaan….

    Idk if I'm seeing things clearly or not. But how is 50 cent at the position he's at on this list when he's the only one with 3 digit millions posted on here. Plus I read somewhere that a lady that weezy blacklisted is trying to sue him for her part of some 200+ million he made while working with her.

    The funds earned by each artist is what they made from June 2009-June 2010...not their net worths as the article states. There net worths are surely higher than what's listed here. Read the real article at forbes.com/hiphop.

    I hope some women can get back on. We need Ms. Hill, Missy, Eve, Lil Kim, etc. I think they can do it but people like Trina, Diamond and even my girls Eve and Lil Kim have to be less into fashion and more into the music. They got the talent, but anytime a gimmick can outshine you like Nicki M., it is time to get back to what made you the ish in the first place. Respect to all the brothers making money but we do need to stop making money and still living that dumb ghetto life with guns, drugs, etc.
