R&B crooner Bruno Mars was arrested in Las Vegas after police found that he was in possession of an unknown narcotic.

According to published reports, Mars was in Las Vegas when security at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino allegedly found him to be in possession of narcotics after confronting him in a bathroom.

The 23-year old singer/songwriter, whose real name is Peter Hernandez,  was then arrested and released after he tweeted to fans that he has “officially landed in Dallas Texas”.

Despite his arrest, Mars was able to release the remix of his hit single “Just The Way You Are”, which features Lupe Fiasco, online.

Although there’s no official word on how or if the arrest will affect any of the musician’s upcoming plans, in two weeks Mars is set to launch a world tour in support of his upcoming debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans.

Doo-Wops & Hooligans is due for release on October 5th.

Mars is most known for singing the hook on B.O.B.’s “Nothing On You.”
