HipHopWired.com was in the building for the 4th Annual YGEA Awards that took place on Saturday, September 25 at Morehouse College.

Showcasing some of the young prominent entertainers in music, media, and photography, the YGEA awards brought light to many of today’s up and coming names in the industry.

With performances by Cristyle, Gloss da Boss, Tavaria, June Fifth, Muffy ft Cartier, Ebony Love, William Myles & YPOP, W.H.A.T.T., Righetous Noize, ATL Bomb Squad, Yung Tone, Ray Rush, Maxine Hopkins, Blue Dynasty Step Team, and Comedian Small Fire.

Many different acts got an opportunity to showcase their talents and prove why they are some of the most talked about upcoming artists.

The 2010 YGEA Awards also gave their honoree awards to Debra Antney, Mizay Entertainment who was presented with a Visionary Award, Greg Street, who was presented with a Community Involvement Award, and Shanti Das with an Executive Achievement Award.

Hip-Hop Wired’s own Danielle Canada took home the prestigious award for “Writer of the Year,” as she represented Hiphopwired.com with both her enlightening writing style and her beauty.

We would like to thank YGEA for the nominations of “Writer of the Year” and “Urban Blog of The Year,” as well as the spectacular award show that will be hard to top next year.
