Prince Announces “Welcome To America” Tour
Prince is making headlines after announcing a new nationwide tour.
Titled the “Welcome To America” tour, the Purple One will be joined by Janelle Monae who paid tribute to him at this year's BET awards, as well as Mint Condition, Maceo Parker and Cassandra Wilson.
Prince is keeping light on details about the tour, telling a crowd of media at New York's Apollo Theater Thursday,
“Welcome…We're here in New York to announce a series of events that will begin on a purple day in December 2010.”
He also added,
“Come early and come often…No concert is ever the same, and encouraged the crowd to "bring foot spray, 'cause it's gonna be funky."
