Sesame Street is helping reinforce what Black parents have been teaching their kids for years.
Sesame Street created a song/skit helping Black girls love and repsect their hair called “I Love My Hair.”
Wear a clippy or in a bow,
Or let it sit in an afro,
My hair looks good in a cornrow,
It does so many things you know, that’s why I let it grow.
Who says you have to get your hair fried, dyed, and laid to the side?
