Lebron James Declares "Hater Day" And Retweets Racial Remarks Made Towards Him
NBA star LeBron James, who started his twitter to gain attention for his big NBA decision, declared on Tuesday that the day was "Hater Day" and shared racist tweets that were directed at him.
"I just want you guys to see it also," James told ESPN on Wednesday. "To see what type of words that are said toward me and towards us as professional athletes. Everybody thinks it is a bed of roses and it's not."
Some of the tweets included:
"Hey good game last night, too bad you're a fraud, B--CH."
“Continuation to my last tweet, u r a big nosed big lipped bug eyed n*gger. ur greedy, u try to hide ur ghettoness.”
James responded and said, "U see world how people feel! Just use it as extra motivation in whatever u do best! No one can stop your dreams from becoming reality!"
The new member of the Miami Heat said last month that race was a factor in the negative backlash he received after deciding to leave Cleveland to join the Heat.
Do you feel that Lebron James is taking the race factor too far, or is this something that Lebron needs to bring to life?

You are right that there are a lot of ignorant people out there who just don't get it and may never get it. On the other hand, a lot of black people won't let racism die either. They make something that isn't racist sound racist so they can play the race card. It seems that almost anything a white person does these days is considered racist. I'm sure you will interpret this comment as racist, but just trying to point out that the majority of people try to eliminate racism but some black people won't let them.

Lebron, as an African American baby boomer, none of these comments come as a surprise to me. However, it was smart for you to expose them. First of all, to many of our people in your age range, think that racism and hatred toward people of color is a thing of the past. But don't l be fooled, it is not. As long as you produce and make money you will be celebrated, but if that changes you won't be tolerated. That's the kind of world we live in.
