Ice-T Inks Deal To Launch New Line of Liquor

Pioneering West coast rapper Ice-T is partnering with Aiko Importers and Pay Up Management to promote and distribute a new brand of French brandy, aptly named Original Gangster XO Brandy.

Representatives for Aiko Importers reportedly reached out to Ice-T’s manager Mickey Bentson a year ago. The rapper turned actor just so happened to be looking for an alcohol brand Ice-T to help expand his business portfolio.

“Ice-T sat down with me and I told him, ‘you have to see the presentation.’ He loved the taste and the bottle. At the direction of Ice-T, I also told them we didn’t want money, we wanted a partnership,” Bentson told  AllHipHop. “Ice decided it would be best to have partnership in the business so we can build other brands. The bottles are great and the liquor is fantastic.”

According to Bentson, even the rapper’s wife, CoCo will get her own drink.

OG XO Brandy, which was founded in 2004 near Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, is currently available in select markets in the United States, including Boston, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York and Chicago.

By next year, OG XO will be available in every market in the U.S., with a retail price of $22.99-$42.99.
