Three Former New Orleans Police Officers Found Guilty Of Shooting, Burning Katrina Victim

Three New Orleans police officers were found guilty for the murder of 31-year-old Henry Glover, a Hurricane Katrina victim that was fatally shot and burned in a car set on fire to hide his remains.

On September 2, 2005, four days into the massive flooding that swamped the city, 31-year-old Henry Glover was killed reportedly by Officer David Warren with an assault rifle.

Officer Warren was found guilty Thursday of manslaughter while two of the five officers charged were acquitted completely.

Officer Greg McRae was convicted of burning Glover's body in a car while Lt. Travis McCabe was convicted of writing a false police report about the incident and lying to federal investigators.

The convicted officers are scheduled for a bond hearing today.

As previously reported, a federal indictment says that Glover was shot and found bleeding to death by William Tanner, a Good Samaritan who drove him to an elementary school that was being used as temporary police headquarters.

Tanner says however that when he arrived he was beaten by police officers and his car was seized with the dying man in the back seat.

Weeks later he says he found his car burned and charred with Glovers' remains still inside on a levee behind a police station.

I wonder if the sentence will fit with the crime???? Probably not considering how most killer cops get light sentences.

Black ppl better use this incident to get a clue. Who will really be there for you if disaster strikes? Degrees and wealth will not save you from acts like these, they already can't save you. Have a disaster plan, where to go, cash on hand, working vehicle at all times, credit card with available credit at all times. Every black person should have a property in a black nation. Yes, whether it's , Africa, or the Caribbean, it doesn't matter just have a place to go in a black nation if the need ever arises.
