Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated Celebrates 100 Years
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, one of the oldest Black fraternities in the nation is celebrating its 100th anniversary today.
The Black male service organization was founded on January 5, 1911 by 10 men in Indiana.
To commemorate their centennial, members of Kappa Alpha Psi will later take to Indianapolis on Monday, July 5th for their 80th Grand Chapter Meeting and Centennial Celebration running from the 5-10, 2011.
The fraternity was officially chartered and incorporated under the state of Indiana as Kappa Alpha Nu on May 15 of 1911 and its name was changed to its present form in 1914.
Their colors are crimson and cream.
Congratulations to Kappa Alpha Psi on 100 years.
