Suicide Bomber Hits Moscow Airport; 30 Killed, Over 150 Wounded
A suicide bomber completed what's believed to be a terrorist attack at Russia's Domodedovo Airport in Moscow.
The Associated Press reports that a man walked in with a suitcase and set off a huge explosion Monday killing at least 31 people and wounding nearly 170.
Officials report that the building's international arrivals terminal was engulfed by smoke and splattered with body parts.
The attack sprayed shrapnel, screws and ball bearings at passengers and workers in a “loosely guarded” area where hundreds of people were located.
President Dmitry Medvedev has pledged assistance to the families of the dead and those injured in the attack.
President Barack Obama says he “strongly condemns this outrageous act of terrorism against the Russian people" and offered his condolences to those affected.
