A Southwest Atlanta woman is making headlines for her unique fashion statement, her trademark 20 inch nails she hopes will land her on “Oprah.”
Jazz Ison Sinkfield proudly showed off her nails to 11 Alive News making sure to note that her longest nail is 24 inches long.
According to Sinkfield, the nails are both a talent and a gift and could be used to make her famous.
One day, I want to meet Oprah,” she says. “And a lot of more celebrities. And I just want them to hear my story…They’re a gift, and I can say, a talent too because it’s something that everyone cannot do.”
11 Alive reports that Sinkfield spends $250 a month to maintain her nails and thinks some women are jealous of her prized digits because they’re a “fashion statement.”
She also adds that the nails don’t prevent her from doing any of her daily activities except tying shoes.
“There isn’t anything that I can’t do. The only thing I can’t do is, I cannot tie shoes,” said Sinkfield.
Check out Sinkfield and the woman who held the record for world’s longest nails in The Guiness Book of Records.
Lee Redmond of Salt Lake City, Utah, was given the title of woman with the world’s longest fingernails in 2007 by the Guinness Book Of World Records.
Her nails measured a total of more than 28 feet before they were reportedly snapped off in a car accident in 2009.
Redmond’s nails were said to be broken beyond repair in the accident.
Redmond is said to have been growing her nails since 1979.
Jazz Ison Sinkfield shares her story with 11Alive.
