"RHOA" Star Miss Lawrence Joining The Steve Harvey Project [Photos]

"Real Housewives Of Atlanta" star Miss Lawrence is adding a new title to his resume, radio show personality.

The hairstylist and up and coming singer has been tapped by Steve Harvey to join his “The Steve Harvey Project”, a recap of his radio show that airs on BET's Centric.

The “Closet Freak” who has a passion for wearing high heels, will host a segment titled “Spilling The Tea With Lawrence” where he'll dish on celebrity gossip, beauty and entertainment.

Speaking on his new occupation Lawrence released a statement saying,

“I'm so excited…I've found the chemistry and talent between us to be really natural.”


His “Spilling The Tea” segment will air Tuesdays and Thursdays on CENTRIC.

    @ CBB - Thanks for clearing up the name. I always thought that he was saying, "Garrett with a t". Oh well, I guess I need to listen more often. I agree, that shows very little creativity.

    @ RicoBlack - I am not a fan of Steve Harvey either.

    Honest question. Is his gay guy supposed to off-set Rickey Smiley's gay guy ? I thought the strawberry letters were silly enough.

    This is yet another example of late and tired "Black" entertainment. First of all, the whole idea of having a gay...sissified man...as some sort of sidekick is so last century. It also further perpetuates the stereotypical image of the Black gay man as some lip gloss, high heel wearing, baffoon. If he wanted to be progressive, he could have chosen any number of gay men within the Black community who could bring a different perspective to the show. Why does the gay man always have to play the gossip clown on these programs?
