Lupe Fiasco Set To Top The Charts With "Lasers"

Lupe Fiasco On Track To Scoring No. 1 Album With ‘Lasers’

The hard work and the wait may finally pay off for Chicago rhyme veteran, Lupe Fiasco.

His 3rd studio album, Lasers, was held up by Atlantic Records, but Lupe got his fans involved to demand the LP’s release. Since hitting stores on March 8th, the fans have responded by supporting Lasers and it’s now projected to sell anywhere from 190,000 to 220,000 copies according to The Chicago Sun Times.

Fiasco made headlines recently taking a stance against the policies upheld by the Obama administration.

In these economic times, the projected numbers are refreshing and show progression in Fiasco’s career. His debut, Food And Liquor reached the top 10 in 2006 moving 81,000 copies in its first week; while The Cool boasted 143,000 units a year later and hit the charts at number 15.
