Police Deny Permit For Too $hort Concert, Show Canceled
Too $hort Concert Canceled Due To Promoter Snafu
A family friendly concert headlined by Oakland rap legend Too $hort was recently canceled by police, citing that promoters waited too long to obtain a permit for the show.
The show, that was to take place April 22 at the Veterans Memorial Building, in Hollister, CA, was promoted as a show for all ages that would feature local youth talent and wouldn't serve alcohol.
Yet, the Hollister authorities denied the permit that would allow the show to take place citing several issues with the permit application.
For one, the show was marketed, promoted and tickets were sold before the permit received official approval.
The decision to cancel the April 22 show is final, but Hollister police say promoters can re-apply and hold the concert at later date.
