Columbine Anniversary Bomb Plot?
Firefighters found two propane tanks and a pipe bomb near the Southwest Plaza Mall’s food court after a small fire broke out Wednesday in Jefferson County, Colorado.
A “person of interest” was caught on camera as the only lead as a possible suspect right now because of the entrance he used to go into the mall.
The attempted bombing is swaying authorities into believing the plot had something to do with the Columbine High School massacre due to the two-mile proximity to the school and yesterday being the 12th anniversary.
“The fact that has happened on April 20, 12 years later, near the school and with similar devices is very disturbing,” Jefferson County sheriff’s spokeswoman Jacki Kelley said.
Similar paraphernelia was found after the 1999 killing of 13 students in Colorado where the gunmen also took their own lives.
