Max B. Says He Could Be Home As Early As Summer

Allhiphop.com reports that imprisoned rapper, Max B. says he’s mentally wavy while waiting for his appeal process to be handled according to an interview with Mikey T The Movie Star.

“The appeal process is done, finally, it’s been done for about a month now. So now what they do is, the prosecutor responds back and you get a letter. They tell you, you gotta wait eight to 10 months for a response from the appellate court…You might see me in the summer, you might see me at the end of the year,” said Max.

Though the wavy rapper explained he has his own food, phone and he is somewhat known in prison, it’s not the place to be, “It’s like a big shoebox, it’s a kennel.”

“My thing is coming home, back to the family, back to the people and doing what I do best on the real level. In the streets, in the town, where I need to be back in the studio, back on the road, making hits with Amalgam Digital.”

In 2009, Max, born Charles Wingate was convicted of felony murder after he and his stepbrother, Kelvin Leerdam allegedly attempted to rob two men at a Holiday Inn in 2006 in Fort Lee, New Jersey. The attempt led to David Taylor being shot and killed instantly by Leerdam.

Max’s ex-girlfriend Gina Conway testified against the duo, and was granted 15 years for her involvement while Leerdam and Wingate were sentenced to 75 and 35 years respectively.
