Angie Stone, NeNe Leakes Star In New Stage Play

Singer Angie Stone will be testing her acting chops again in a new stage play entitled, Loving Him Is Killing Me.

“Acting was my first love. This was the direction I was going when I got discovered as a singer. Everything comes full circle back around. It's coming back in this arena for me now,” said Stone.

The songstress, making her third live acting appearance will play the role of Mutha, “a nightclub singer with attitude” alongside co-stars Tyson Beckford, Christopher Williams and Real House Wives of Atlanta and Celebrity Apprentice participant NeNe Leakes.

Stone recently spoke about her relationship with her controversial co-star, Leakes, in a interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine stating,

“Sometimes we get thrown under the bus. A lot of things happen for a lot of reasons. Some we can control and some we can't. I can't say what her relationship is with other people. I don't have a problem with NeNe. She's a go getter. She's a winner. She's always gonna shine 'cause she knows the game. When you know the game too well, it gets thrown back at you at the wrong angle.”

Stone still plans on putting out more music, with an album scheduled to drop this Fall. The first single, “Rich Girl” should be available this Summer.

A previously reported, Stone was arrested last month after police pulled her over in Georgia for speeding and discovered she had a suspended license.
