Parliament' Funkadelic's George Clinton In Hospital
Legendary funker George Clinton has been hospitalized, suffering from a staff infection to his leg, according to TMZ
The 69-year-old front man of the heralded funk group Parliament Funkadelic reportedly went in for a routine check-up when doctors discovered a staff infection in the eccentric singer's leg and made the to decision to keep him for treatment.
As for the seriousness of his condition a rep for Clinton says, “He'll be just fine. Thank you for all your prayers and concern.”
Clinton has made a huge contribution to hip hop, and is an essential influence of the west coast's G-Funk movement.
He has even featured on several prominent hip hop tracks including Tupac's “Cant C Me,” OutKast's “Synthisizer” and Wu-Tang Clan's “Tar Pit.”
Clinton had a cameo in the 1990 hip hop comedy, House Party.
