Eminem Sues Audi
Eminem Suing Audi; Claims Company Copied Chrysler 300 Ad
Rapstar Eminem is not too pleased with Audi AG at the moment.
According to reports, Eminem's 8 Mile Style LLC has filed a lawsuit against the Audi car company, claiming that Em's song "Lose Yourself" was used illegally in a new 2012 Audi A6 Avant commercial.
"Lose Yourself" was also used in Eminem's new Chrysler 200 commercial, which aired during the Super Bowl in February.
Audi might as well admit to biting Eminem's Chrysler commercial all together, as the new Audi commercial has the exact same concept and feel as the Chrysler ad.
“We believe Audi not only used "Lose Yourself" to sell their product without permission, but their spot actually feels inspired by elements of Chrysler's commercial campaign,” Eminem's lawyer Joel Martin said.
The Audi commercial debuted last week in Berlin.
Take a look at the commercial below, and be the judge. Is Audi copying Eminem's Chrysler commercial or not?
