Baby Thrown from Car Recovering; 3 Arrested

A 14-month-old baby girl was taken to the hospital, after the child was thrown from a car during a shoplifting attempt at a K-Mart store in Columbia, South Carolina.

According to reports, the child was taken to the hospital’s intensive care unit following the incident on Thursday night, and is now listed in stable condition.

The child suffered several injuries, including broken ribs, a collapsed lung and abrasions.

Reports state that 21-year-old Cortney Palmer and the child’s mother 20-year-old Courtney Nicole Francetta Mace entered the K-Mart store around 9 p.m., attempted to shoplift and were confronted by a store security guard.

A third woman, 22-year-old Kimberly Moody, waiting in the car became aware of the confrontation inside, and sped off in the vehicle.

In doing so, the 14-month-old, who was unsecured, fell out of the car.

Police say Moody stopped the car, picked up the baby, and brought her inside to her mother.

The child’s mother was charged with two counts of assault and battery and unlawful conduct towards a child.

Palmer was charged with shoplifting, while Moody was also charged with unlawful conduct toward a child.

A second child was in the car, but was unharmed.

Investigators say the women tried to steal two bottles of body spray, a bottle of body wash, a stick of deodorant, a pair of earrings, and a pack of tissue totaling $29.61.

Times are hard, so if these women where trying to steal baby diapers, that would be one thing, but babies don’t need deodorant or earrings.

This is sadly another example of black girls lost.

Lets pray these children survives the hands of their unfit mothers.

Pictures of the women are below.
