Jill Scott Says Her Husband Not Eating Her Cooking Led To Divorce, Shows Off Slimmed Down Look [Photo]

Jill Scott Talks Divorce

 

Singer Jill Scott is speaking out on a subject she's rarely discussed in detail, her divorce from her ex-husband.

The songstress whose Light Of The Sun album hits stores today, sat down for an interview with The Guardian and revealed that she knew her marriage was over when her husband refused to eat her food.

“One of the reasons my ex-husband and I broke up is that he stopped eating my food. He was pissed [off] for other reasons, but the best way to show me was by leaving what I'd made for him uneaten for days on the kitchen counter. It was a smack in the face."

Following her divorce Scott went on to have a relationship with her drummer who later became the father of her 2-year-old son Jett. She tells The Guardian that she's impressed with how quickly her child is growing.

“I panicked when my son, Jett, stopped eating baby food. He's only two but his food vocabulary is fantastic. He likes my baked tilapia and string beans with chopped garlic. But he really likes pizza. Sometimes every inanimate object to him is pizza.”

 

In addition to speaking on her personal life, Scott was recently spotted in Atlanta showing off her new slimmed down look.

As previously reported Jill revealed to Ebony that she enlisted a diet and trainer to lose 50 pounds.
