Rihanna Steamed Over Fake Tweet
Pop star Rihanna had some heated words for MTV Canada after they posted a story about an erroneous tweet that reportedly came from her official Twitter account.
In the tweet she allegedly places some of the blame on herself for the beating she took at the hands of Chris Brown.
“I admit, I provoked Chris to hit me. It was not entirely his fault. #ImSORRY,” MTV Canada reported Rihanna tweeted Thursday (June 23) morning.
After MTV Canada’s story of the tweet, several other media outlets ran with the story until Rihanna caught wind.
Ri Ri fired back from her Twitter account later that day tweeting,
“are u f—ing kiddin me?????? You’re supposed to be a RELIABLE source for news on music and this is the bulls— u post?”
MTV Canada responded tweeting,
“We were reporting on a story that was posted on several sites today. We had no intention to be salacious.”
