R. Kelly Facing Foreclosure On His Chicago, Illinois Mansion

R. Kelly may have to step in the name of foreclosure since he hasn’t made monthly mortgage payments since June of last year on his suburban Chicago mansion.

The lawsuit states that the current principal balance on his loan is more than $2.9 million, not including unpaid interest. The interest goes up $251 a day and Kells had monthly payments of $24,325.12.

The R&B singer’s spokesman, Allan Mayer, declined to comment about the foreclosure but he tells AP that Kelly isn’t in financial trouble.

Note to self: Don’t buy an expensive mansion then allegedly make a sex tape with a minor and pay legal fees.
