FOX News Slams 'The Today Show' For Chris Brown Performance,"He Beat His Girlfriend To A Pulp" [Video]

FOX News Criticizes Chris Brown

Although Chris Brown gave a record breaking performance Friday at NBC's 'The Today Show', not everyone was happy about it.

FOX News host Laura Ingraham slammed NBC Friday for allowing Brown to perform and asked viewers if the network was "rewarding bad behavior."

Speaking on Brown she said,

"You may remember the singer Chris Brown, he pleaded guilty to beating his then girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009. Sane Americans were disgusted by his bad behavior but that did not stop him from getting top billing this morning on The Today Show."

Ingram and FOX didn't stop there however, they also took to the streets before the performance showing fans pictures of a battered and bruised Rihanna and asked them how they felt about it.

"Just wanna show you this one picture, here's a picture of Rihanna after the incident and I've never seen a picture of Chris Brown where it showed that he had any sort of injuries anywhere close to this."

The Chris Brown segment went on for 8 minutes and included a debate on whether Brown should've been added to the Today Show after "beating his girlfriend to a pulp" and using the "n-word", the "c-word", the "f-word", the "s-word" and some of the "most misogynistic lyrics in his top songs"

Breezy obviously got word of the segment himself and took to Twitter to defend himself saying,

FOX News has yet to respond.

    who watches fox anyway. lmao.

@ laura ingraham , *****ody cares what you are talking about, it has been 2 years since this incident, everyone is trying to move on with their lives, you must have a boring life since you are all in chris brown's *****e, with 18,000+ fans @ the concert you must be out of your damn mind with this nonsense, kudos to the TODAY show!!

  • JAS

So FOX News made up the battery, photo-shopped the picture, and fabricated the conviction? B/c Rihanna did that to herself? What part of their story was "bogus"? You should have just focused on the age of the incident, reminded FOX that it had been resolved in the courts with your sentence served, and your fans helped your career bounce back. You've just shown us how much still blame everyone but yourself for YOUR crime...

I don't support Fox @ all! Hey FOX, you just claimed that our President of the United States was **********inated on Independence Day....why are you still around??? And why are people still supporting them??? NO RESPECT AT ALL!!! AND NO I DON'T BELIEVE THEIR TWITTER WAS HACKED. So all other stories are pointless and useless to me. HHW...stop supporting them!!!

  • Wow

I swear Chris Brown paid his price a while ago.....hmmm somebody is desperate for a story....

  • suzanne

I just.....i have nothing to say about Fox News. They're by far the worst news station and their level of stupidity is just off the wall. Let Chris Brown be GREAT and shut the hell up.

  • Eric

In response to Jas, you know what Chris meant by bogus. In no way shape or form was he referring to his own incident but to the countless fake stories Fox Gossip like to spread. So stop being narrow minded. It'll get you nowhere.

  • Andrew

Fox news will died a natural death very soon like News of the World News-paper in UK... they are all haters and belong to stopne age! all they do is feed their imbecile viewers with hate and pain....in Chris Brown, there is so much positive lessons to learn; He proof to all us us that "Even when your antagonists says it's over, keep pushing and you will overcome" He already overcame what happened to him and he is on the ladder again! Fox News can commit suicide *****ody cares...#FACT

  • Truth

Fox news is no better than Chris. They were out there showing pictures of the incident. That was not professional at all. Why is Fox news trying to start more drama when everyone has put the past behind. Leave it alone people. Today's Show did a great thing and got high ratings. Fox news mad now because they didn't get Chris first. NBC won the ratings. YEAH 3X Today's Show!!!

  • Brit

Fox News took the most tacky approach to addressing this situation. Why in the world would they try to sabatoge his creibility when in all honesty his fans only really respond to his music. Now don't get me wrong ; I totally disagree with what Chris Brown did to Rihanna but truth be told Chris Brown has & still is paying for this crime . He now is trying to get himself back on the right path and it seems that working is what's keeping him outta trouble . He was fortunate enough to be blessed with the gift of music . What people in general fail to realize is that he is someone's son ,brother granchild ,etc and had you been the person who made that stupid decision would you want someone to keep reminding you of it ... I think not. Let him be the artist that he is suppose to be .

  • Sidnei

Someone said it correctly, Rihanna has clearly moved on. I was very saddened by this event when it happened, who would have thought such a cute couple would have had such a sad violent relationship. I am glad that she pressed charges, glad he was convicted and glad he happily did his community service. Everyone has moved on...we will never know what really happened, and that really doesnt matter bc he never should have laid a hand on her or any woman ever.
can we all move past it and enjoy then for who they are..entertainment figures..musical artists..listen to their music not their life..they are no better then us they are human and have f'd up.

  • C*****i

What is he supposed to do other than apologize and try to go forward with his LIFE??? Although terrible, IT ALREADY HAPPENED...No one is rewarding him for his outrageous behavior... His rewards come as result of hard work. Chris has worked is butt off for his success and its not something he's been handed. Such a shame, people who commit crimes still have to make a living...

  • Truth

Fox news was wrong. Chris Brown is a young man who has learned from his mistake. Fox news could have started a riot with all those people out there and alot of people could have got hurt. Why is Fox news wanting to bash Chris Brown. What's Fox news motive. NBC is not promoting bad behavior, Chris Brown performed and entertain his music for the people. People love him that is why so many people showed up.

  • xtina

shut up FOX its over ...... lets focus on other things

  • xtina

casey anthony was involved on a murder case..... there is a difference.

let our boy live his life.

    love you chris

  • jp

People change and learn from their mistakes. The only people who don't make mistakes are those who are no longer living. Would you want to go through life without ever being forgiven. Oh yeah the world can't forgive him becasue he's a successful black man. Someone needs to come forth and bring up some of Laura Ingraham's past and I guarantee she won't have a job by the end of day.

  • @MsCBreezyStan

WTF? is his life tht entertaining to yall tht yall have to constantly TRY to bring him down? Chris is a MUSIC ARTIST his TALENT is AMAZING! if you gonna tlk abt him tlk about tht!! & see how the world respond..wht JOY do you get out of bashing a artist anyways??
