Pastor Convicted For Sexually Assaulting 12-Year-Old 9 Times
A former North Carolina pastor has been convicted of sexual abuse after authorities say he had inappropriate contact with a 12-year-old girl at least 9 times.
Keith Devon Pitts 44, formerly of New Life Christian Center, has been convicted of nine counts of sexual abuse with the girl that includes "sex offense of a child and taking indecent liberties with a child.”
Prosecutors contend that Pitts sexually assaulted the child in his home in 2006 by performing a sex act on her.
They then say he acted again in 2008 and forced her to perform a sex act on him in 2009.
He's been sentence to between 20 and 24½ years in prison.
