Wayne Head Wound Requires Stitches After Fall

In what has seems to have become ritual for Lil Wayne on his current tour, the rapper visited a local skateboarding park during a stop in Missouri, this time leaving with a head wound that required nine stitches.

After performing at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in St. Louis yesterday (August 21), the “How To Love” rapper did his kick, push thing at a local skating park  when he hit his head after a nasty spill.

He was rushed to the hospital and has since been released after receiving nine stitches to close the wound.

Wayne announced the incident via his Twitter page,

“The Lou was good but I busted my fuggin head at the sk8park! 9 stitches! Gnarly gash over my left eye! Luv the people!”

In related news, Wayne recently announced that he will be releasing Tha Carter IV online two days early and  following the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.

“The MTV Video Music Awards are one of the most watched and respected shows in the industry,” said Cash Money CEO Ronald “Slim” Williams about the annoucement.

“Wayne is one of the most respected and prolific artists in the industry. By pairing the release of Tha Carter IV with the VMAs, it will certainly add to the overall anticipation and excitement for fans everywhere for what will surely be an unforgettable evening.”

 

The Young Money CEO is scheduled to perform at the August 28 award show.

Tha Carter IV will hit stores August 30.
