Chrisette Michele, The Cool Kids, Foreign Exchange, Phife Dawg Appear At Atlanta’s ONE Musicfest

One of the largest indoor/outdoor music festivals, ONE MusicFest attracted over 4,000 people to Atlanta this weekend for more than 12 hours of non-stop live music.

Taking place at the Park Tavern on Saturday, August 27th, the concert showcased artists like Chrisette Michele, Tortured Soul, The Cool Kids, Anoop Desai, The Pharcyde, Anthony David, Foreign Exhange and “Searching for The One” winner, Kyron Leslie.

In addition to the featured acts, attendees were treated to culinary artist Chef Romero’s “Crab & Shrimp Festival” while the Atlanta Music Project served as this year’s philanthropic partner, collecting used instruments on-site for children in need.

Speaking on ONE Musicfest, J. Carter, Sol-Fusion Founder and ONE Musicfest’s Producer released a statement saying,

“There is a lack of representation for soul, progressive hip-hop, alternative and rock, represented under one roof, in the format of music festivals in Atlanta. We have noticed that while there are many pockets of individuals that share taste in the same music, rarely do you see them share in this together. ONE Musicfest was created with the idea of music as the universal language. Over time, we aim to grow this fest into a phenomenon and bring together different sectors of individuals through a unique music platform.”

HipHopWired was on the scene for the festivities and got a chance to chat with a number of artists including The Cool Kids and Phife Dawg.

Those videos are forthcoming, but until then check out photos of Chrisette Michele, The Cool Kids, Anthony David and more rocking ONE Musicfest.
